The team at Visual Concepts hopes everyone has been enjoying their NBA 2K27 experience! We’ve been playing and watching, and have made select gameplay fixes to better deliver on our overall vision for NBA 2K27.

This update is applied automatically around Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM (shown in your device's time zone). No download is required. Simply return to the Main Menu to make sure you have the latest version.

SHOOTING

• Strengthened defensive contests. Well-contested and low-percentage attempts are now less effective, while wide-open looks received a slight boost to reward smart shots.

DUNKING

• Standing dunks now succeed more often, most noticeably against average and below-average interior defenders.
• The Rise Up badge now provides a more meaningful benefit at Gold tier and above.

STEALS AND BALL SECURITY

• Addressed an issue where lower-rated defenders (and players with depleted adrenaline) could get on-ball steals more consistently than elite defenders. Steal rating is now properly rewarded on contact with the ball.

GAME SPEED

• Fixed an issue and overall game speed is now increased and/or standardized to be consistent across all modes of play.

Update 1.5 is scheduled to release around Friday, September 11, 2026 at 6:00 AM (shown in your device's time zone) on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and Steam.

This update includes several fixes across Crew Divisions, MyCAREER Fire & Concrete, and Breakout. No gameplay changes. Full details are in the notes below.

Update 1.4 is scheduled to release around Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM (shown in your device's time zone) on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and Steam.

This update includes a number of stability fixes in The City, moves the friends list to the top of the Social Menu in lobbies for easier squad-ups, fixes a potential blocker in the FIBA portion of the MyCAREER offseason, and adds support for the PS5 Edge controller on Steam.

Because of this, some players may notice their REP tier is higher after the update, if their REP progress now falls within a new tier.

Make sure to play a complete game after the update for any REP rewards tied to your new tier to show up in your account.

Update 1.3 is scheduled to release around Monday, August 31, 2026 at 9:00 AM (shown in your device's time zone) on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and Steam.

This update addresses several top community-reported issues. It fixes a case where Squads would be split up when backing out of matchmaking, tunes Crew XP and REP earn rates, and reduces the effectiveness of the Shot Artist and Calibrated Takeover Abilities, along with several other stability and performance fixes detailed below.
